Inside the world-making
Clea Studios
Clea Studios is the creative studio behind Znail Valley—the independent picture-book world created by Aria de Clea for ages 4–8 and PreK–Grade 2. The studio helps hold together the stories, visual language, and story-connected resources around the series; Weeping Starlight Press publishes the books.
Big feelings. Small bugs. Wild ideas.
The studio role
One curious world. Many things to keep connected.
Znail Valley begins with stories: tiny characters meet recognizable feelings, friendships, questions, and mistakes, then notice, wonder, try, and revise their way forward.
Clea Studios develops the creative system that lets those stories remain recognizably Znail Valley beyond a single book. That includes the world’s story logic, its organic visual language, and thoughtful extensions for the adults who read and explore the books with children.
The goal is coherence without sameness: recurring characters stay themselves, each story can find its own emotional palette, and every resource stays connected to what actually happens in the books.

A creative system built around the stories
The books are the center. The studio’s work helps everything around them speak the same curious, playful language.
Story world
Recurring characters, story logic, emotional metaphors, and continuity are held together so that new adventures can grow without losing the world’s identity.
Visual language
Spirals, organic curves, imperfect geometry, expressive scale, and changing story palettes create a recognizable world while leaving room for each book to feel distinct.
Story-connected resources
Educator and caregiver materials begin with the actual story, then move through observation, conversation, and playful application—keeping the imaginative world close by.
